State Senate, District 12
Rick Martel Candidate for State Senate, District 12
David aka "Augie" is a Catonsville resident married to Barbara and has two children, Collin (19) and Kendall (17). David is running for House of Delegates in District 12A which includes SW Baltimore County and a portion [Elkridge] of Eastern Howard County. "Augie" is known by many as a Husband, Father and Friend, a regular guy concerned greatly with the direction the State of Maryland. Concerned that the "Dominant Party" in Annapolis are destined to leave behind if "We" don't "stake claim", "stand firm "and "restore balance" to the single party rule in Annapolis." "Effective governing is nearly impossible if we are not part of the process", "We must be included in the legislative process in order for Maryland to prosper and reverse the trend of nanny state politics."
"We cannot change what we do not challenge!"
Republican Joseph D. "Joe" Hooe is a Baltimore area business owner, husband and father, community activist, volunteer firefighter, former trustee of the Lansdowne Improvement Association and a John Hopkins University graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Management.
Kyle cares deeply about Maryland and is concerned about the tax and spend direction the state has chosen to take in the past two years. As a Maryland businessman, father of two public school educated children, and a student-athlete alumnus of the University of Maryland, Kyle is running for State Senate because he sees and feels the devastating effects of the current fiscal and budgetary irresponsibility from our state government. Kyle has knocked on over 10,000 doors of District 13 citizens since the summer of 2009. He has had the unique opportunity to discuss, listen and engage the voter - building a wide base of support from Independents, Democrats and Republicans alike. Kyle is positive and optimistic that great things can be accomplished in Annapolis with the abolishment of the current one-party monopoly and an infusion of free market principals and limited government policies.
Jody Venkatesan Candidate for State Senate, District 13
Jody has called Maryland home for over twenty years. In 1989 he was assigned to Fort Meade, Maryland to support the US Army's 902d Military Intelligence Group. After his honorable discharge and graduation from college in 1996, Jody returned to Maryland and has lived in District 13 ever since. Jody lives in District 13 with his wife Louise and his children Bethanne (12), Emily (9) and Philip (6). Jody Venkatesan knows that Annapolis is moving in the wrong direction. An $8.5 billion structural deficit over the next four years and a 10% state-wide unemployment rate must be corrected. We need fresh ideas to get Maryland working again. We need someone who understands that government is accountable to the voters.

Jeff Robinson House of Delegates, District 13 Friends of Jeff Robinson 8852 Waterfall Drive Laurel, MD 20723
Jeff
Robinson is a Republican candidate for the House of Delegates from District 13
(Eastern and Southern Howard County). Jeff brings a winning combination
of experience from the private sector (10-year president of a regional
high-tech firm), community involvement (neighborhood association president, PTA
officer, basketball coach) and military service (Captain, U.S. Army), providing
him a unique and personal perspective on the issues confronting us today.
He lives in the Scaggsville area of Laurel with his lovely wife, Deirdre, and
their two boys - Brady, a student at Reservoir High School, and Brendan, who is
attending Hammond Middle School.
J'Neanne Theus has been a resident of the Old Hopkins neighborhood in Clarksville for 24 years, where she and her husband of 30 years, Gene, raised their four children - Allison (26), Kristjan (24), Anika (22) and Galen (20). She is a retired Naval Commander, long time swim coach, former PTSA member and current independent financial adviser. Never politically active before, she brings common sense pragmatism to the problems we are facing. American exceptionalism is under seige by an ideology that seeks to undermine the very unique idea of true liberty. The current Democratic representatives are willing to sacrifice the livelihoods and lives of Maryland citizens in order to maintain their power base and status quo. The corruption cannot go unchallenged. Individual responsibility and smaller, accountable government are critical to the longterm success of this state and the country
